Tandem paragliding from Babadag swings around 25–35% in price across the year. The cheapest months also carry the highest cancellation risk, so “cheapest” and “best value” aren’t the same thing. This guide separates them clearly so you can pick the trade-off that fits your trip.

The short answer

Month-by-month breakdown

January & February Cheapest

Indicative price: $75–100 standard / $100–130 long.
Flyable days: ~30–50% of the month.
Reality check: Babadag’s cable car closes in storms and high winds. Operators won’t fly if conditions aren’t safe, so you may book a flight and have it postponed twice. Best for travellers already in Fethiye for a week and willing to wait for a clear morning.

March

Indicative price: $90–115 standard / $115–145 long.
Flyable days: ~50–70%.
Reality check: Spring weather starts to settle. Mornings are flyable most days; afternoons can still be windy. Good value if you have flexibility.

April & May Best value

Indicative price: $100–125 standard / $130–160 long.
Flyable days: ~85–95%.
Reality check: Spring thermals, clear skies, green landscape, comfortable temperatures. Crowds are still light. The single highest-value window of the year is the last week of April through to the second week of May.

June

Indicative price: $110–135 standard / $140–170 long.
Flyable days: ~95%.
Reality check: Hot afternoons, strong thermals, very long flyable windows from sunrise. Prices start climbing as European summer holidays begin.

July & August Most expensive

Indicative price: $120–150 standard / $150–185 long.
Flyable days: ~95% morning, fewer afternoons.
Reality check: Babadag launch can be very busy. Many operators only run morning slots when thermals are manageable for tandems. Book at least a week ahead. Photo/video packages rarely discounted.

September

Indicative price: $115–140 standard / $145–175 long.
Flyable days: ~95%.
Reality check: Excellent thermals, comfortable temperatures, slightly thinner crowds than August. Prices ease only marginally.

October Best value

Indicative price: $105–130 standard / $135–165 long.
Flyable days: ~85%.
Reality check: The Air Games Festival (typically the third week of October) attracts the world’s best pilots and large crowds — flight pricing is normal but accommodation prices double. Late October, after the festival, is one of the year’s best value windows.

November & December

Indicative price: $90–115 standard / $115–145 long.
Flyable days: ~50–70%.
Reality check: Variable. Some weeks fly almost daily; others have storm windows that close the cable car. Build flexibility into your trip.

How to lock in the lowest price

  1. Book direct, not via the booth. The 30–50% beachfront markup persists year-round — see our price guide.
  2. Pick a 3-day window, not a single date. Operators reschedule weather cancellations for free; a one-day visit limits your options.
  3. Send one enquiry to multiple operators. Compare quotes before paying a deposit. Our directory lets you do this without retyping.
  4. Pay in cash on the day for a 3–5% discount with most operators (confirm in advance).
  5. Skip the photo/video pack if you have a friend with a phone on the beach. It can save $25–40.
